The goal of the PROMISE conference series is two-fold.
Apart from discussing how best to process SE data, te other goal is to create a repository of public domain data.
The use of publicly available datasets will facilitate generations of repeatable, verifiable, refutable, and improvable results,as well as providing and opportunity for researchers to test and develop their hypothesis, algorithms, and ideas on a diverse set of software systems.
Authors contributing to PROMISE are therefore asked to place their data is some public website. Ideally this is the PROMISE SE repository. All authors should therefore obtain the necessary permission to donate the data before submitting their paper. All donors will be acknowledged on the PROMISE repository website.
To contribute data to the PROMISE repository:
- Format the data according to our guidelines
- Email the data files to firstname.lastname@example.org
